1. What the service is
Space Junker is a fictional-world website and entertainment experience operated by MIM Robotics LLC. The Unit 402 landing game is an arcade simulation, not real-world spacecraft performance, flight training, engineering advice or a certification. Story imagery and game scenarios do not automatically establish new book canon.
You can play without signup. In the current version, participation does not require a purchase, and the leaderboard does not offer a cash prize.
2. Pilot accounts
To keep a verified cross-device pilot record, use an email address you control and a permitted, available three-character callsign. Callsigns identify players publicly; email is used privately for verification and recovery. Some callsigns, including BOB and KTE, are reserved. Protect sign-in links and do not use another person’s account or misrepresent your identity.
Callsign changes are not currently offered through self-service. Contact support if you need an account correction or believe a callsign or account has been misused.
3. Flights and rankings
The server replays submitted control inputs under the scenario’s rules and calculates a result. Qualifying safe landings can appear publicly only after email verification and public-score permission. The same starting conditions apply to the current South of Dallas practice scenario. Local, unverified historical scores are not eligible for the global board.
All-time and weekly boards currently use the Dallas practice rules. The weekly period begins Monday at 00:00 UTC. New scenarios or rule sets should be identified separately rather than silently mixing incomparable results.
Do not forge requests, exploit account access, interfere with other users, overload the service or attempt to alter another pilot’s record. A replay-valid flight does not prove a human supplied the inputs. Contact support about a disputed result.
4. Public sharing and communications
Public-score permission is independent of the three optional email choices. You can change those choices in pilot preferences. Account verification and requested sign-in messages are separate from marketing. The Privacy notice describes the information used by these features.
5. Content and conduct
Respect the rights of authors, artists and other rights holders when using or sharing website content. Playing the game or viewing the site does not transfer ownership of the books, artwork, brands or software. Do not use the service for harassment, unlawful activity, spam, credential misuse or unauthorized access.
If the site provides links to retailers, social platforms or other services, those services control their own accounts, purchases and terms. A link is not a promise about their availability or performance.
6. Availability and records
Network failures, browser storage restrictions, updates or service outages can prevent saving or displaying a flight. Anonymous gameplay can continue when the registry is unavailable, but an offline or local score does not automatically qualify for global ranking. Keep a copy of records you consider important.
7. Support and account requests
